English Teacher Wanted in Pajala Municipality

Pajala Municipality is the large (in area) small municipality located in the land of the Northern Lights and the Midnight Sun – Tornedalen, in eastern Norrbotten. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

As an English teacher, you will plan, implement, and follow up on teaching in grades 6-9. You will work to create a stimulating learning environment where students are given the opportunity to develop linguistically, creatively, and communicatively.

You will:

• be responsible for teaching English and other subjects according to the curriculum and subject plans
• plan, implement, and document teaching and assessment
• be part of a team with educators, mentors, and resource teachers
• maintain a good and professional dialogue with students, guardians, colleagues, and other partners
• actively contribute to the school's development and collegial learning

The extent of teaching English is approximately 50-70 percent. The position may also include teaching in other subjects depending on qualifications and the needs of the organization.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for a licensed and qualified teacher in English.

We see that you:

• have a structured approach and adapt teaching to the needs of the students
• are flexible, solution-focused, and value collaboration
• want to develop in your profession and contribute to the school's joint development work
• Knowledge in special education is an advantage.

If a qualified teacher is not available, an unqualified candidate may be considered for a temporary position. A high school diploma is required for this.
